How to Delete Your Tilawa.ai Account
You can permanently delete your Tilawa.ai account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do this:
Option 1 — From the App (Recommended)
- Open the Tilawa.ai app
- Go to Settings (bottom tab)
- Tap Manage Account
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion (double confirmation required)
Option 2 — By Email
If you no longer have access to the app, send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 48 hours.
What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, all of the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed:
- Your profile (email, display name, preferences, avatar)
- All recitation sessions and AI analysis results
- Progress data (scores, streaks, hassanat, XP)
- Surah progress and memorization history
- AI tutor chat history
- Subscription information (the subscription itself must be cancelled separately through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store)
This action cannot be undone. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
Important: Cancel Your Subscription First
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. To avoid being charged after account deletion:
- Android: Google Play Store → Subscriptions → Tilawa.ai → Cancel
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Tilawa.ai → Cancel
