Your questions
How does the text follow me during prayer?
The text moves forward at the pace of your recitation. Bowing, prostrating and takbir do not move anything; Al-Fatiha of the next rakʿah takes its place again.
Does the app correct me during prayer?
No. During prayer, I point out no mistakes and give no score. For correction, recite outside the prayer.
Can I read from a screen during prayer?
Schools differ on this point. The app gives no ruling: for your own case, ask your imam.
Which prayers?
The five obligatory prayers, and voluntary prayers such as witr or tarawih.
Is there a web or desktop version?
No. Tilawa is an app for iPhone, iPad and Android, because it listens to you through the microphone while you recite. On a computer, this site lets you read and listen to the Quran with colour-coded tajweed. To recite and get corrected, scan the QR code with your phone.
