كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِىَ ﴿٢٦﴾

كَلَّآ
kallā
No
إِذَا
idhā
When
بَلَغَتِ
balaghati
it reaches
ٱلتَّرَاقِىَ
l-tarāqiya
the collar bones
وَقِيلَ مَنْۜ رَاقٍ ﴿٢٧﴾
Mot à mot
وَقِيلَ
waqīla
And it is said
مَنْ ۜ
man
Who
رَاقٍۢ
rāqin
(will) cure
وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلْفِرَاقُ ﴿٢٨﴾
Mot à mot
وَظَنَّ
waẓanna
And he is certain
أَنَّهُ
annahu
that it
ٱلْفِرَاقُ
l-firāqu
(is) the parting
وَٱلْتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ ﴿٢٩﴾
Mot à mot
وَٱلْتَفَّتِ
wal-tafati
And is wound
ٱلسَّاقُ
l-sāqu
the leg
بِٱلسَّاقِ
bil-sāqi
about the leg
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمَسَاقُ ﴿٣٠﴾
Mot à mot
إِلَىٰ
ilā
To
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
يَوْمَئِذٍ
yawma-idhin
that Day
ٱلْمَسَاقُ
l-masāqu
(will be) the driving
فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ ﴿٣١﴾
Mot à mot
فَلَا
falā
And not
صَدَّقَ
ṣaddaqa
he accepted (the) truth
وَلَا
walā
and not
صَلَّىٰ
ṣallā
he prayed
وَلَـٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ﴿٣٢﴾
Mot à mot
وَلَـٰكِن
walākin
But
كَذَّبَ
kadhaba
he denied
وَتَوَلَّىٰ
watawallā
and turned away
ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ ﴿٣٣﴾

ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
ذَهَبَ
dhahaba
he went
إِلَىٰٓ
ilā
to
أَهْلِهِۦ
ahlihi
his family
يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ
yatamaṭṭā
swaggering
أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ ﴿٣٤﴾

أَوْلَىٰ
awlā
Woe
لَكَ
laka
to you
فَأَوْلَىٰ
fa-awlā
and woe
ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰٓ ﴿٣٥﴾

ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
أَوْلَىٰ
awlā
woe
لَكَ
laka
to you
فَأَوْلَىٰٓ
fa-awlā
and woe
أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًى ﴿٣٦﴾
Mot à mot
أَيَحْسَبُ
ayaḥsabu
Does think
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ
l-insānu
man
أَن
an
that
يُتْرَكَ
yut'raka
he will be left
سُدًى
sudan
neglected
أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِّن مَّنِىٍّ يُمْنَىٰ ﴿٣٧﴾
Mot à mot
أَلَمْ
alam
Was not
يَكُ
yaku
he
نُطْفَةًۭ
nuṭ'fatan
a semen-drop
مِّن
min
of
مَّنِىٍّۢ
maniyyin
semen
يُمْنَىٰ
yum'nā
emitted
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ﴿٣٨﴾

ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
كَانَ
kāna
he was
عَلَقَةًۭ
ʿalaqatan
a clinging substance
فَخَلَقَ
fakhalaqa
then He created
فَسَوَّىٰ
fasawwā
and proportioned
فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ ﴿٣٩﴾

فَجَعَلَ
fajaʿala
Then made
مِنْهُ
min'hu
of him
ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ
l-zawjayni
two kinds
ٱلذَّكَرَ
l-dhakara
(the) male
وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
wal-unthā
and the female
أَلَيْسَ ذَٲلِكَ بِقَـٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحْــِۧىَ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ ﴿٤٠﴾
Mot à mot
أَلَيْسَ
alaysa
Is not
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
[that]
بِقَـٰدِرٍ
biqādirin
(He) Able
عَلَىٰٓ
ʿalā
[over]
أَن
an
to
يُحْـِۧىَ
yuḥ'yiya
give life
ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
l-mawtā
(to) the dead
