بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
هَلْ أَتَـٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْغَـٰشِيَةِ ﴿١﴾

أَتَىٰكَ

حَدِيثُ

(the) news
ٱلْغَـٰشِيَةِ
l-ghāshiyati
(of) the Overwhelming
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَـٰشِعَةٌ ﴿٢﴾

Faces
يَوْمَئِذٍ
yawma-idhin
that Day
خَـٰشِعَةٌ
khāshiʿatun
(will be) humbled
عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌ ﴿٣﴾

عَامِلَةٌۭ
ʿāmilatun
Laboring
نَّاصِبَةٌۭ
nāṣibatun
exhausted
تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةً ﴿٤﴾

تَصْلَىٰ
taṣlā
They will burn
نَارًا
nāran
(in) a Fire
حَامِيَةًۭ
ḥāmiyatan
intensely hot
تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ ءَانِيَةٍ ﴿٥﴾

تُسْقَىٰ
tus'qā
They will be given to drink
مِنْ

from
عَيْنٍ
ʿaynin
a spring
ءَانِيَةٍۢ
āniyatin
boiling
لَّيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍ ﴿٦﴾

لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِن جُوعٍ ﴿٧﴾

(will be) joyful
لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ ﴿٩﴾

With their effort
رَاضِيَةٌۭ
rāḍiyatun
satisfied
فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ ﴿١٠﴾

a garden
عَالِيَةٍۢ
ʿāliyatin
elevated
لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَـٰغِيَةً ﴿١١﴾

they will hear
فِيهَا

therein
لَـٰغِيَةًۭ
lāghiyatan
vain talk
فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ ﴿١٢﴾

Therein
عَيْنٌۭ
ʿaynun
(will be) a spring
جَارِيَةٌۭ
jāriyatun
flowing
فِيهَا سُرُرٌ مَّرْفُوعَةٌ ﴿١٣﴾

Therein
سُرُرٌۭ
sururun
(will be) thrones
مَّرْفُوعَةٌۭ
marfūʿatun
raised high
وَأَكْوَابٌ مَّوْضُوعَةٌ ﴿١٤﴾

وَأَكْوَابٌۭ
wa-akwābun
And cups
مَّوْضُوعَةٌۭ
mawḍūʿatun
put in place
وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ ﴿١٥﴾

وَنَمَارِقُ
wanamāriqu
And cushions
مَصْفُوفَةٌۭ
maṣfūfatun
lined up
وَزَرَابِىُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ ﴿١٦﴾

وَزَرَابِىُّ
wazarābiyyu
And carpets
مَبْثُوثَةٌ
mabthūthatun
spread out
أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ ﴿١٧﴾

أَفَلَا
afalā
Then do not
يَنظُرُونَ
yanẓurūna
they look
إِلَى
ilā
towards
ٱلْإِبِلِ
l-ibili
the camels
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
خُلِقَتْ
khuliqat
they are created
وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ ﴿١٨﴾

وَإِلَى
wa-ilā
And towards
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
the sky
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
رُفِعَتْ
rufiʿat
it is raised
وَإِلَى ٱلْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ ﴿١٩﴾

وَإِلَى
wa-ilā
And towards
ٱلْجِبَالِ
l-jibāli
the mountains
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
نُصِبَتْ
nuṣibat
they are fixed
وَإِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ ﴿٢٠﴾

وَإِلَى
wa-ilā
And towards
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
سُطِحَتْ
suṭiḥat
it is spread out
فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌ ﴿٢١﴾
Mot à mot
فَذَكِّرْ
fadhakkir
So remind
إِنَّمَآ
innamā
only
أَنتَ
anta
you
مُذَكِّرٌۭ
mudhakkirun
(are) a reminder
لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ ﴿٢٢﴾

لَّسْتَ
lasta
You are not
عَلَيْهِم
ʿalayhim
over them
بِمُصَيْطِرٍ
bimuṣayṭirin
a controller
إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ ﴿٢٣﴾

إِلَّا
illā
But
مَن
man
whoever
تَوَلَّىٰ
tawallā
turns away
وَكَفَرَ
wakafara
and disbelieves
فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَكْبَرَ ﴿٢٤﴾

فَيُعَذِّبُهُ
fayuʿadhibuhu
Then will punish him
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
ٱلْعَذَابَ
l-ʿadhāba
(with) the punishment
ٱلْأَكْبَرَ
l-akbara
greatest
إِنَّ إِلَيْنَآ إِيَابَهُمْ ﴿٢٥﴾

إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
إِلَيْنَآ
ilaynā
to Us
إِيَابَهُمْ
iyābahum
(will be) their return
