بَلْ

bal

Nay

هُمُ

humu

they

ٱلْيَوْمَ

l-yawma

(on) that Day

مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ

mus'taslimūna

(will) surrender

وَأَقْبَلَ

wa-aqbala

And will approach

بَعْضُهُمْ

baʿḍuhum

some of them

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

to

بَعْضٍۢ

baʿḍin

others

يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

yatasāalūna

questioning one another

قَالُوٓا۟

qālū

They will say

إِنَّكُمْ

innakum

Indeed, you

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

[you] used (to)

تَأْتُونَنَا

tatūnanā

come (to) us

عَنِ

ʿani

from

ٱلْيَمِينِ

l-yamīni

the right

قَالُوا۟

qālū

They will say

بَل

bal

Nay

لَّمْ

lam

not

تَكُونُوا۟

takūnū

you were

مُؤْمِنِينَ

mu'minīna

believers

وَمَا

wamā

And not

كَانَ

kāna

was

لَنَا

lanā

for us

عَلَيْكُم

ʿalaykum

over you

مِّن

min

any

سُلْطَـٰنٍۭ ۖ

sul'ṭānin

authority

بَلْ

bal

Nay

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you were

قَوْمًۭا

qawman

a people

طَـٰغِينَ

ṭāghīna

transgressing

فَحَقَّ

faḥaqqa

So has been proved true

عَلَيْنَا

ʿalaynā

against us

قَوْلُ

qawlu

(the) Word

رَبِّنَآ ۖ

rabbinā

(of) our Lord

إِنَّا

innā

indeed, we

لَذَآئِقُونَ

ladhāiqūna

(will) certainly taste

فَأَغْوَيْنَـٰكُمْ

fa-aghwaynākum

So we led you astray

إِنَّا

innā

indeed, we

كُنَّا

kunnā

were

غَـٰوِينَ

ghāwīna

astray

فَإِنَّهُمْ

fa-innahum

Then indeed, they

يَوْمَئِذٍۢ

yawma-idhin

that Day

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْعَذَابِ

l-ʿadhābi

the punishment

مُشْتَرِكُونَ

mush'tarikūna

(will be) sharers

إِنَّا

innā

Indeed, We

كَذَٰلِكَ

kadhālika

thus

نَفْعَلُ

nafʿalu

We deal

بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

bil-muj'rimīna

with the criminals

إِنَّهُمْ

innahum

Indeed, they

كَانُوٓا۟

kānū

were

إِذَا

idhā

when

قِيلَ

qīla

it was said

لَهُمْ

lahum

to them

لَآ

lā

(There is) no

إِلَـٰهَ

ilāha

god

إِلَّا

illā

except

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

yastakbirūna

were arrogant

وَيَقُولُونَ

wayaqūlūna

And they say

أَئِنَّا

a-innā

Are we

لَتَارِكُوٓا۟

latārikū

to leave

ءَالِهَتِنَا

ālihatinā

our gods

لِشَاعِرٍۢ

lishāʿirin

for a poet

مَّجْنُونٍۭ

majnūnin

mad

بَلْ

bal

Nay

جَآءَ

jāa

he has brought

بِٱلْحَقِّ

bil-ḥaqi

the truth

وَصَدَّقَ

waṣaddaqa

and confirmed

ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

l-mur'salīna

the Messengers

إِنَّكُمْ

innakum

Indeed, you

لَذَآئِقُوا۟

ladhāiqū

(will) surely taste

ٱلْعَذَابِ

l-ʿadhābi

the punishment

ٱلْأَلِيمِ

l-alīmi

painful

وَمَا

wamā

And not

تُجْزَوْنَ

tuj'zawna

you will be recompensed

إِلَّا

illā

except

مَا

mā

what

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you used to

تَعْمَلُونَ

taʿmalūna

do

إِلَّا

illā

Except

عِبَادَ

ʿibāda

(the) slaves

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ

l-mukh'laṣīna

the chosen ones

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

ulāika

Those

لَهُمْ

lahum

for them

رِزْقٌۭ

riz'qun

(will be) a provision

مَّعْلُومٌۭ

maʿlūmun

determined

فَوَٰكِهُ ۖ

fawākihu

Fruits

وَهُم

wahum

and they

مُّكْرَمُونَ

muk'ramūna

(will) be honored

فِى

fī

In

جَنَّـٰتِ

jannāti

Gardens

ٱلنَّعِيمِ

l-naʿīmi

(of) Delight

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

On

سُرُرٍۢ

sururin

thrones

مُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ

mutaqābilīna

facing each other

يُطَافُ

yuṭāfu

Will be circulated

عَلَيْهِم

ʿalayhim

among them

بِكَأْسٍۢ

bikasin

a cup

مِّن

min

from

مَّعِينٍۭ

maʿīnin

a flowing spring

بَيْضَآءَ

bayḍāa

White

لَذَّةٍۢ

ladhatin

delicious

لِّلشَّـٰرِبِينَ

lilshāribīna

for the drinkers

لَا

lā

Not

فِيهَا

fīhā

in it

غَوْلٌۭ

ghawlun

(is) bad effect

وَلَا

walā

and not

هُمْ

hum

they

عَنْهَا

ʿanhā

from it

يُنزَفُونَ

yunzafūna

will be intoxicated

وَعِندَهُمْ

waʿindahum

And with them

قَـٰصِرَٰتُ

qāṣirātu

(will be) companions of modest gaze

ٱلطَّرْفِ

l-ṭarfi

(will be) companions of modest gaze

عِينٌۭ

ʿīnun

(having) beautiful eyes

كَأَنَّهُنَّ

ka-annahunna

As if they were

بَيْضٌۭ

bayḍun

eggs

مَّكْنُونٌۭ

maknūnun

well protected

فَأَقْبَلَ

fa-aqbala

And (will) approach

بَعْضُهُمْ

baʿḍuhum

some of them

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

to

بَعْضٍۢ

baʿḍin

others

يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

yatasāalūna

questioning one another
