وَنَبِّئْهُمْ عَن ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٲهِيمَ ﴿٥١﴾

إِذْ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَـٰمًا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ ﴿٥٢﴾

53

قَالُواْ لَا تَوْجَلْ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَـٰمٍ عَلِيمٍ ﴿٥٣﴾

إِنَّا

نُبَشِّرُكَ

54

قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِى عَلَىٰٓ أَن مَّسَّنِىَ ٱلْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ ﴿٥٤﴾

أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِى

Do you give me glad tidings

عَلَىٰٓ

مَّسَّنِىَ

old age

فَبِمَ

تُبَشِّرُونَ

tubashirūna

you give glad tidings

55

قَالُواْ بَشَّرْنَـٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْقَـٰنِطِينَ ﴿٥٥﴾

They said

بَشَّرْنَـٰكَ

basharnāka

We give you glad tidings

بِٱلْحَقِّ

bil-ḥaqi

in truth

فَلَا

ٱلْقَـٰنِطِينَ

the despairing

56

قَالَ وَمَن يَقْنَطُ مِن رَّحْمَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ ﴿٥٦﴾

قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ ﴿٥٧﴾

(is) your business

أَيُّهَا

58

قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ ﴿٥٨﴾

Indeed, we

إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ﴿٥٩﴾

إِلَّا ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرْنَآ‌ۙ إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ ﴿٦٠﴾

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ءَالَ لُوطٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ ﴿٦١﴾

قَالُواْ بَلْ جِئْنَـٰكَ بِمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ ﴿٦٣﴾

we have come to you

64

وَأَتَيْنَـٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَـٰدِقُونَ ﴿٦٤﴾

wa-ataynāka

And we have come to you

بِٱلْحَقِّ

bil-ḥaqi

with the truth

وَإِنَّا

wa-innā

and indeed, we

لَصَـٰدِقُونَ

surely (are) truthful

65

فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱتَّبِعْ أَدْبَـٰرَهُمْ وَلَا يَلْتَفِتْ مِنكُمْ أَحَدٌ وَٱمْضُواْ حَيْثُ تُؤْمَرُونَ ﴿٦٥﴾

fa-asri

So travel

بِأَهْلِكَ

bi-ahlika

with your family

بِقِطْعٍۢ

biqiṭ'ʿin

in a portion

مِّنَ

mina

ٱلَّيْلِ

وَٱتَّبِعْ

wa-ittabiʿ

and follow

أَدْبَـٰرَهُمْ

وَلَا

أَحَدٌۭ

aḥadun

anyone

وَٱمْضُوا۟

wa-im'ḍū

and go on

حَيْثُ

ḥaythu

where

تُؤْمَرُونَ

tu'marūna

you are ordered

66

وَقَضَيْنَآ إِلَيْهِ ذَٲلِكَ ٱلْأَمْرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَقْطُوعٌ مُّصْبِحِينَ ﴿٦٦﴾

وَقَضَيْنَآ

And We conveyed

إِلَيْهِ

ilayhi

ذَٰلِكَ

ٱلْأَمْرَ

مُّصْبِحِينَ

(by) early morning

67

وَجَآءَ أَهْلُ ٱلْمَدِينَةِ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ ﴿٦٧﴾

وَجَآءَ

And came

أَهْلُ

ahlu

(the) people

ٱلْمَدِينَةِ

l-madīnati

(of) the city

يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ

yastabshirūna

rejoicing

68

قَالَ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ضَيْفِى فَلَا تَفْضَحُونِ ﴿٦٨﴾

هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ

فَلَا

وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخْزُونِ ﴿٦٩﴾

and (do) not

تُخْزُونِ

70

قَالُوٓاْ أَوَلَمْ نَنْهَكَ عَنِ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿٧٠﴾

أَوَلَمْ

Did not

نَنْهَكَ

nanhaka

we forbid you

عَنِ

ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

71

قَالَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِىٓ إِن كُنتُمْ فَـٰعِلِينَ ﴿٧١﴾

He said

هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ

hāulāi

These

بَنَاتِىٓ

banātī

(are) my daughters

إِن

in

if

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you would be

فَـٰعِلِينَ

72

لَعَمْرُكَ إِنَّهُمْ لَفِى سَكْرَتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ ﴿٧٢﴾

By your life

إِنَّهُمْ

innahum

indeed, they

لَفِى

lafī

were in

سَكْرَتِهِمْ

sakratihim

their intoxication

يَعْمَهُونَ

wandering blindly

73

فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّيْحَةُ مُشْرِقِينَ ﴿٧٣﴾

So, seized them

ٱلصَّيْحَةُ

l-ṣayḥatu

مُشْرِقِينَ

74

فَجَعَلْنَا عَـٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍ ﴿٧٤﴾

And We made

عَـٰلِيَهَا

ʿāliyahā

سَافِلَهَا

وَأَمْطَرْنَا

upon them

75

إِنَّ فِى ذَٲلِكَ لَأَيَـٰتٍ لِّلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَ ﴿٧٥﴾
