وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ ﴿٢٦﴾

And verily
خَلَقْنَا

We created
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ

humankind
مِن

صَلْصَـٰلٍۢ
ṣalṣālin
sounding clay
مِّنْ

from
حَمَإٍۢ
ḥama-in
black mud
مَّسْنُونٍۢ
masnūnin
altered
وَٱلْجَآنَّ خَلَقْنَـٰهُ مِن قَبْلُ مِن نَّارِ ٱلسَّمُومِ ﴿٢٧﴾

wal-jāna
And the jinn
خَلَقْنَـٰهُ
khalaqnāhu
We created it

نَّارِ

scorching
وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّى خَـٰلِقُۢ بَشَرًا مِّن صَلْصَـٰلٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ ﴿٢٨﴾

رَبُّكَ
rabbuka
your Lord said
لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ
lil'malāikati
to the Angels
إِنِّى
innī
Indeed, I
خَـٰلِقٌۢ
khāliqun
(will) create
بَشَرًۭا
basharan
a human being
مِّن
min
(out) of
صَلْصَـٰلٍۢ
ṣalṣālin
clay
مِّنْ
min
from
حَمَإٍۢ
ḥama-in
black mud
مَّسْنُونٍۢ
masnūnin
altered
فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُۥ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى فَقَعُواْ لَهُۥ سَـٰجِدِينَ ﴿٢٩﴾

and [I] breathed

سَـٰجِدِينَ

فَسَجَدَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ ﴿٣٠﴾

قَالَ لَمْ أَكُن لِّأَسْجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقْتَهُۥ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ ﴿٣٣﴾

قَالَ فَٱخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ ﴿٣٤﴾

Then get out
مِنْهَا

فَإِنَّكَ

for indeed, you

وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ ٱللَّعْنَةَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ ﴿٣٥﴾

ٱللَّعْنَةَ

قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ ﴿٣٦﴾

O my Lord
فَأَنظِرْنِىٓ
fa-anẓir'nī
Then give me respite
إِلَىٰ

يَوْمِ

they are raised
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنظَرِينَ ﴿٣٧﴾

ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ
wala-ugh'wiyannahum
and I will mislead them
أَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīna
all
إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ﴿٤٠﴾

إِنَّ عِبَادِى لَيْسَ لَكَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَـٰنٌ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْغَاوِينَ ﴿٤٢﴾

وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوْعِدُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ﴿٤٣﴾

Hell
لَمَوْعِدُهُمْ

(is) surely the promised place for them

لَهَا سَبْعَةُ أَبْوَٲبٍ لِّكُلِّ بَابٍ مِّنْهُمْ جُزْءٌ مَّقْسُومٌ ﴿٤٤﴾

ٱدْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَـٰمٍ ءَامِنِينَ ﴿٤٦﴾

وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِى صُدُورِهِم مِّنْ غِلٍّ إِخْوَٲنًا عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ ﴿٤٧﴾

لَا يَمَسُّهُمْ فِيهَا نَصَبٌ وَمَا هُم مِّنْهَا بِمُخْرَجِينَ ﴿٤٨﴾
