Al-Buruj

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ

wal-samāi

By the sky

ذَاتِ

dhāti

containing

ٱلْبُرُوجِ

l-burūji

the constellations

وَٱلْيَوْمِ

wal-yawmi

And the Day

ٱلْمَوْعُودِ

l-mawʿūdi

Promised

وَشَاهِدٍۢ

washāhidin

And (the) witness

وَمَشْهُودٍۢ

wamashhūdin

and what is witnessed

قُتِلَ

qutila

Destroyed were

أَصْحَـٰبُ

aṣḥābu

(the) companions

ٱلْأُخْدُودِ

l-ukh'dūdi

(of) the pit

ٱلنَّارِ

al-nāri

(Of) the fire

ذَاتِ

dhāti

full

ٱلْوَقُودِ

l-waqūdi

(of) the fuel

إِذْ

idh

When

هُمْ

hum

they

عَلَيْهَا

ʿalayhā

by it

قُعُودٌۭ

quʿūdun

(were) sitting

وَهُمْ

wahum

And they

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

over

مَا

mā

what

يَفْعَلُونَ

yafʿalūna

they were doing

بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

bil-mu'minīna

to the believers

شُهُودٌۭ

shuhūdun

witnesses

وَمَا

wamā

And not

نَقَمُوا۟

naqamū

they resented

مِنْهُمْ

min'hum

[of] them

إِلَّآ

illā

except

أَن

an

that

يُؤْمِنُوا۟

yu'minū

they believed

بِٱللَّهِ

bil-lahi

in Allah

ٱلْعَزِيزِ

l-ʿazīzi

the All-Mighty

ٱلْحَمِيدِ

l-ḥamīdi

the Praiseworthy

ٱلَّذِى

alladhī

The One Who

لَهُۥ

lahu

for Him

مُلْكُ

mul'ku

(is) the dominion

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

l-samāwāti

(of) the heavens

وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ

wal-arḍi

and the earth

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

and Allah

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

on

كُلِّ

kulli

every

شَىْءٍۢ

shayin

thing

شَهِيدٌ

shahīdun

(is) a Witness

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

فَتَنُوا۟

fatanū

persecuted

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

l-mu'minīna

the believing men

وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ

wal-mu'mināti

and the believing women

ثُمَّ

thumma

then

لَمْ

lam

not

يَتُوبُوا۟

yatūbū

they repented

فَلَهُمْ

falahum

then for them

عَذَابُ

ʿadhābu

(is the) punishment

جَهَنَّمَ

jahannama

(of) Hell

وَلَهُمْ

walahum

and for them

عَذَابُ

ʿadhābu

(is the) punishment

ٱلْحَرِيقِ

l-ḥarīqi

(of) the Burning Fire

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

ءَامَنُوا۟

āmanū

believe

وَعَمِلُوا۟

waʿamilū

and do

ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ

l-ṣāliḥāti

the righteous deeds

لَهُمْ

lahum

for them

جَنَّـٰتٌۭ

jannātun

(will be) Gardens

تَجْرِى

tajrī

flow

مِن

min

from

تَحْتِهَا

taḥtihā

underneath it

ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۚ

l-anhāru

the rivers

ذَٰلِكَ

dhālika

That

ٱلْفَوْزُ

l-fawzu

(is) the success

ٱلْكَبِيرُ

l-kabīru

the great

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

بَطْشَ

baṭsha

(the) Grip

رَبِّكَ

rabbika

(of) your Lord

لَشَدِيدٌ

lashadīdun

(is) surely strong

إِنَّهُۥ

innahu

Indeed He

هُوَ

huwa

He

يُبْدِئُ

yub'di-u

originates

وَيُعِيدُ

wayuʿīdu

and repeats

وَهُوَ

wahuwa

And He

ٱلْغَفُورُ

l-ghafūru

(is) the Oft-Forgiving

ٱلْوَدُودُ

l-wadūdu

the Most Loving

ذُو

dhū

Owner (of)

ٱلْعَرْشِ

l-ʿarshi

the Throne

ٱلْمَجِيدُ

l-majīdu

the Glorious

فَعَّالٌۭ

faʿʿālun

Doer

لِّمَا

limā

of what

يُرِيدُ

yurīdu

He intends

هَلْ

hal

Has

أَتَىٰكَ

atāka

come to you

حَدِيثُ

ḥadīthu

(the) story

ٱلْجُنُودِ

l-junūdi

(of) the hosts

فِرْعَوْنَ

fir'ʿawna

Firaun

وَثَمُودَ

wathamūda

and Thamud

بَلِ

bali

Nay

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

Those who

كَفَرُوا۟

kafarū

disbelieve

فِى

fī

(are) in

تَكْذِيبٍۢ

takdhībin

denial

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

But Allah

مِن

min

from

وَرَآئِهِم

warāihim

behind them

مُّحِيطٌۢ

muḥīṭun

encompasses

بَلْ

bal

Nay

هُوَ

huwa

It

قُرْءَانٌۭ

qur'ānun

(is) a Quran

مَّجِيدٌۭ

majīdun

Glorious

فِى

fī

In

لَوْحٍۢ

lawḥin

a Tablet

مَّحْفُوظٍۭ

maḥfūẓin
