كَمَآ

kamā

As

أَرْسَلْنَا

arsalnā

We sent

فِيكُمْ

fīkum

among you

رَسُولًۭا

rasūlan

a Messenger

مِّنكُمْ

minkum

from you

يَتْلُوا۟

yatlū

(who) recites

عَلَيْكُمْ

ʿalaykum

to you

ءَايَـٰتِنَا

āyātinā

Our verses

وَيُزَكِّيكُمْ

wayuzakkīkum

and purifies you

وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ

wayuʿallimukumu

and teaches you

ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ

l-kitāba

the Book

وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ

wal-ḥik'mata

and the wisdom

وَيُعَلِّمُكُم

wayuʿallimukum

and teaches you

مَّا

mā

what

لَمْ

lam

not

تَكُونُوا۟

takūnū

you were

تَعْلَمُونَ

taʿlamūna

knowing

فَٱذْكُرُونِىٓ

fa-udh'kurūnī

So remember Me

أَذْكُرْكُمْ

adhkur'kum

I will remember you

وَٱشْكُرُوا۟

wa-ush'kurū

and be grateful

لِى

lī

to Me

وَلَا

walā

and (do) not

تَكْفُرُونِ

takfurūni

(be) ungrateful to Me

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

yāayyuhā

O you

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

who

ءَامَنُوا۟

āmanū

believe[d]

ٱسْتَعِينُوا۟

is'taʿīnū

Seek help

بِٱلصَّبْرِ

bil-ṣabri

through patience

وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ۚ

wal-ṣalati

and the prayer

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

مَعَ

maʿa

(is) with

ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ

l-ṣābirīna

the patient ones

وَلَا

walā

And (do) not

تَقُولُوا۟

taqūlū

say

لِمَن

liman

for (the ones) who

يُقْتَلُ

yuq'talu

are slain

فِى

fī

in

سَبِيلِ

sabīli

(the) way

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

أَمْوَٰتٌۢ ۚ

amwātun

(They are) dead

بَلْ

bal

Nay

أَحْيَآءٌۭ

aḥyāon

(they are) alive

وَلَـٰكِن

walākin

[and] but

لَّا

lā

you (do) not

تَشْعُرُونَ

tashʿurūna

perceive

وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُم

walanabluwannakum

And surely We will test you

بِشَىْءٍۢ

bishayin

with something

مِّنَ

mina

of

ٱلْخَوْفِ

l-khawfi

[the] fear

وَٱلْجُوعِ

wal-jūʿi

and [the] hunger

وَنَقْصٍۢ

wanaqṣin

and loss

مِّنَ

mina

of

ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ

l-amwāli

[the] wealth

وَٱلْأَنفُسِ

wal-anfusi

and [the] lives

وَٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ ۗ

wal-thamarāti

and [the] fruits

وَبَشِّرِ

wabashiri

but give good news

ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ

l-ṣābirīna

(to) the patient ones

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

Those who

إِذَآ

idhā

when

أَصَـٰبَتْهُم

aṣābathum

strikes them

مُّصِيبَةٌۭ

muṣībatun

a misfortune

قَالُوٓا۟

qālū

they say

إِنَّا

innā

Indeed, we

لِلَّهِ

lillahi

belong to Allah

وَإِنَّآ

wa-innā

and indeed we

إِلَيْهِ

ilayhi

towards Him

رَٰجِعُونَ

rājiʿūna

will return

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

ulāika

Those

عَلَيْهِمْ

ʿalayhim

on them

صَلَوَٰتٌۭ

ṣalawātun

(are) blessings

مِّن

min

from

رَّبِّهِمْ

rabbihim

their Lord

وَرَحْمَةٌۭ ۖ

waraḥmatun

and Mercy

وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

wa-ulāika

And those

هُمُ

humu

[they]

ٱلْمُهْتَدُونَ

l-muh'tadūna

(are) the guided ones

۞ إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلصَّفَا

l-ṣafā

the Safa

وَٱلْمَرْوَةَ

wal-marwata

and the Marwah

مِن

min

(are) from

شَعَآئِرِ

shaʿāiri

(the) symbols

ٱللَّهِ ۖ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

فَمَنْ

faman

So whoever

حَجَّ

ḥajja

performs Hajj

ٱلْبَيْتَ

l-bayta

(of) the House

أَوِ

awi

or

ٱعْتَمَرَ

iʿ'tamara

performs Umrah

فَلَا

falā

so no

جُنَاحَ

junāḥa

blame

عَلَيْهِ

ʿalayhi

on him

أَن

an

that

يَطَّوَّفَ

yaṭṭawwafa

he walks

بِهِمَا ۚ

bihimā

between [both of] them

وَمَن

waman

And whoever

تَطَوَّعَ

taṭawwaʿa

voluntarily does

خَيْرًۭا

khayran

good

فَإِنَّ

fa-inna

then indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

شَاكِرٌ

shākirun

(is) All-Appreciative

عَلِيمٌ

ʿalīmun

All-Knowing

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

يَكْتُمُونَ

yaktumūna

conceal

مَآ

mā

what

أَنزَلْنَا

anzalnā

We revealed

مِنَ

mina

of

ٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ

l-bayināti

the clear proofs

وَٱلْهُدَىٰ

wal-hudā

and the Guidance

مِنۢ

min

from

بَعْدِ

baʿdi

after

مَا

mā

[what]

بَيَّنَّـٰهُ

bayyannāhu

We made clear

لِلنَّاسِ

lilnnāsi

to the people

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ۙ

l-kitābi

the Book

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

ulāika

those

يَلْعَنُهُمُ

yalʿanuhumu

curses them

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ

wayalʿanuhumu

and curse them

ٱللَّـٰعِنُونَ

l-lāʿinūna

the ones who curse

إِلَّا

illā

Except

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those

تَابُوا۟

tābū

who repent[ed]

وَأَصْلَحُوا۟

wa-aṣlaḥū

and reform[ed]

وَبَيَّنُوا۟

wabayyanū

and openly declar[ed]

فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

fa-ulāika

Then those

أَتُوبُ

atūbu

I will accept repentance

عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ

ʿalayhim

from them

وَأَنَا

wa-anā

and I (am)

ٱلتَّوَّابُ

l-tawābu

the Acceptor of Repentance

ٱلرَّحِيمُ

l-raḥīmu

the Most Merciful

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

كَفَرُوا۟

kafarū

disbelieve[d]

وَمَاتُوا۟

wamātū

and die[d]

وَهُمْ

wahum

while they

كُفَّارٌ

kuffārun

(were) disbelievers

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

ulāika

those

عَلَيْهِمْ

ʿalayhim

on them

لَعْنَةُ

laʿnatu

(is the) curse

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ

wal-malāikati

and the Angels

وَٱلنَّاسِ

wal-nāsi

and the mankind

أَجْمَعِينَ

ajmaʿīna

all together

خَـٰلِدِينَ

khālidīna

(Will) abide forever

فِيهَا ۖ

fīhā

in it

لَا

lā

Not

يُخَفَّفُ

yukhaffafu

will be lightened

عَنْهُمُ

ʿanhumu

for them

ٱلْعَذَابُ

l-ʿadhābu

the punishment

وَلَا

walā

and not

هُمْ

hum

they

يُنظَرُونَ

yunẓarūna

will be reprieved

وَإِلَـٰهُكُمْ

wa-ilāhukum

And your God

إِلَـٰهٌۭ

ilāhun

(is) God

وَٰحِدٌۭ ۖ

wāḥidun

one (only)

لَّآ

lā

(there is) no

إِلَـٰهَ

ilāha

god

إِلَّا

illā

except

هُوَ

huwa

Him

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ

l-raḥmānu

the Most Gracious

ٱلرَّحِيمُ

l-raḥīmu

the Most Merciful

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

فِى

fī

in

خَلْقِ

khalqi

(the) creation

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

l-samāwāti

(of) the heavens

وَٱلْأَرْضِ

wal-arḍi

and the earth

وَٱخْتِلَـٰفِ

wa-ikh'tilāfi

and alternation

ٱلَّيْلِ

al-layli

of the night

وَٱلنَّهَارِ

wal-nahāri

and the day

وَٱلْفُلْكِ

wal-ful'ki

and the ships

ٱلَّتِى

allatī

which

تَجْرِى

tajrī

sail

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْبَحْرِ

l-baḥri

the sea

بِمَا

bimā

with what

يَنفَعُ

yanfaʿu

benefits

ٱلنَّاسَ

l-nāsa

[the] people

وَمَآ

wamā

and what

أَنزَلَ

anzala

(has) sent down

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

مِنَ

mina

from

ٱلسَّمَآءِ

l-samāi

the sky

مِن

min

[of]

مَّآءٍۢ

māin

water

فَأَحْيَا

fa-aḥyā

giving life

بِهِ

bihi

thereby

ٱلْأَرْضَ

l-arḍa

(to) the earth

بَعْدَ

baʿda

after

مَوْتِهَا

mawtihā

its death

وَبَثَّ

wabatha

and dispersing

فِيهَا

fīhā

therein

مِن

min

[of]

كُلِّ

kulli

every

دَآبَّةٍۢ

dābbatin

moving creature

وَتَصْرِيفِ

wataṣrīfi

and directing

ٱلرِّيَـٰحِ

l-riyāḥi

(of) the winds

وَٱلسَّحَابِ

wal-saḥābi

and the clouds

ٱلْمُسَخَّرِ

l-musakhari

[the] controlled

بَيْنَ

bayna

between

ٱلسَّمَآءِ

l-samāi

the sky

وَٱلْأَرْضِ

wal-arḍi

and the earth

لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ

laāyātin

surely (are) Signs

لِّقَوْمٍۢ

liqawmin

for a people

يَعْقِلُونَ

yaʿqilūna

who use their intellect

وَمِنَ

wamina

And among

ٱلنَّاسِ

l-nāsi

the mankind

مَن

man

who

يَتَّخِذُ

yattakhidhu

takes

مِن

min

from

دُونِ

dūni

besides

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

أَندَادًۭا

andādan

equals

يُحِبُّونَهُمْ

yuḥibbūnahum

They love them

كَحُبِّ

kaḥubbi

as (they should) love

ٱللَّهِ ۖ

l-lahi

Allah

وَٱلَّذِينَ

wa-alladhīna

And those who

ءَامَنُوٓا۟

āmanū

believe[d]

أَشَدُّ

ashaddu

(are) stronger

حُبًّۭا

ḥubban

(in) love

لِّلَّهِ ۗ

lillahi

for Allah

وَلَوْ

walaw

And if

يَرَى

yarā

would see

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

ظَلَمُوٓا۟

ẓalamū

wronged

إِذْ

idh

when

يَرَوْنَ

yarawna

they will see

ٱلْعَذَابَ

l-ʿadhāba

the punishment

أَنَّ

anna

that

ٱلْقُوَّةَ

l-quwata

the power

لِلَّهِ

lillahi

(belongs) to Allah

جَمِيعًۭا

jamīʿan

all

وَأَنَّ

wa-anna

and [that]

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

شَدِيدُ

shadīdu

(is) severe

ٱلْعَذَابِ

l-ʿadhābi

(in) [the] punishment

إِذْ

idh

When

تَبَرَّأَ

tabarra-a

will disown

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

ٱتُّبِعُوا۟

ittubiʿū

were followed

مِنَ

mina

[from]

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

ٱتَّبَعُوا۟

ittabaʿū

followed

وَرَأَوُا۟

wara-awū

and they will see

ٱلْعَذَابَ

l-ʿadhāba

the punishment

وَتَقَطَّعَتْ

wataqaṭṭaʿat

[and] will be cut off

بِهِمُ

bihimu

for them

ٱلْأَسْبَابُ

l-asbābu

the relations

وَقَالَ

waqāla

And said

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

ٱتَّبَعُوا۟

ittabaʿū

followed

لَوْ

law

(Only) if

أَنَّ

anna

[that]

لَنَا

lanā

for us

كَرَّةًۭ

karratan

a return

فَنَتَبَرَّأَ

fanatabarra-a

then we will disown

مِنْهُمْ

min'hum

[from] them

كَمَا

kamā

as

تَبَرَّءُوا۟

tabarraū

they disown

مِنَّا ۗ

minnā

[from] us

كَذَٰلِكَ

kadhālika

Thus

يُرِيهِمُ

yurīhimu

will show them

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ

aʿmālahum

their deeds

حَسَرَٰتٍ

ḥasarātin

(as) regrets

عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ

ʿalayhim

for them

وَمَا

wamā

And not

هُم

hum

they

بِخَـٰرِجِينَ

bikhārijīna

will come out

مِنَ

mina

from

ٱلنَّارِ

l-nāri

the Fire

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

yāayyuhā

O

ٱلنَّاسُ

l-nāsu

mankind

كُلُوا۟

kulū

Eat

مِمَّا

mimmā

of what

فِى

fī

(is) in

ٱلْأَرْضِ

l-arḍi

the earth

حَلَـٰلًۭا

ḥalālan

lawful

طَيِّبًۭا

ṭayyiban

(and) good

وَلَا

walā

And (do) not

تَتَّبِعُوا۟

tattabiʿū

follow

خُطُوَٰتِ

khuṭuwāti

(the) footsteps (of)

ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ ۚ

l-shayṭāni

the Shaitaan

إِنَّهُۥ

innahu

Indeed, he

لَكُمْ

lakum

(is) to you

عَدُوٌّۭ

ʿaduwwun

an enemy

مُّبِينٌ

mubīnun

clear

إِنَّمَا

innamā

Only

يَأْمُرُكُم

yamurukum

he commands you

بِٱلسُّوٓءِ

bil-sūi

to (do) the evil

وَٱلْفَحْشَآءِ

wal-faḥshāi

and the shameful

وَأَن

wa-an

and that

تَقُولُوا۟

taqūlū

you say

عَلَى

ʿalā

about

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

مَا

mā

what

لَا

lā

not

تَعْلَمُونَ

taʿlamūna

you know

وَإِذَا

wa-idhā

And when

قِيلَ

qīla

it is said

لَهُمُ

lahumu

to them

ٱتَّبِعُوا۟

ittabiʿū

Follow

مَآ

mā

what

أَنزَلَ

anzala

has revealed

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

قَالُوا۟

qālū

they said

بَلْ

bal

Nay

نَتَّبِعُ

nattabiʿu

we follow

مَآ

mā

what

أَلْفَيْنَا

alfaynā

we found

عَلَيْهِ

ʿalayhi

[on it]

ءَابَآءَنَآ ۗ

ābāanā

our forefathers (following)

أَوَلَوْ

awalaw

Even though

كَانَ

kāna

[were]

ءَابَآؤُهُمْ

ābāuhum

their forefathers

لَا

lā

(did) not

يَعْقِلُونَ

yaʿqilūna

understand

شَيْـًۭٔا

shayan

anything

وَلَا

walā

and not

يَهْتَدُونَ

yahtadūna

were they guided

وَمَثَلُ

wamathalu

And (the) example

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

(of) those who

كَفَرُوا۟

kafarū

disbelieve[d]

كَمَثَلِ

kamathali

(is) like (the) example

ٱلَّذِى

alladhī

(of) the one who

يَنْعِقُ

yanʿiqu

shouts

بِمَا

bimā

at what

لَا

lā

not

يَسْمَعُ

yasmaʿu

(does) hear

إِلَّا

illā

except

دُعَآءًۭ

duʿāan

calls

وَنِدَآءًۭ ۚ

wanidāan

and cries

صُمٌّۢ

ṣummun

deaf

بُكْمٌ

buk'mun

dumb

عُمْىٌۭ

ʿum'yun

(and) blind

فَهُمْ

fahum

[so] they

لَا

lā

(do) not

يَعْقِلُونَ

yaʿqilūna

understand

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

yāayyuhā

O you

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

who

ءَامَنُوا۟

āmanū

believe[d]

كُلُوا۟

kulū

Eat

مِن

min

from

طَيِّبَـٰتِ

ṭayyibāti

(the) good

مَا

mā

(of) what

رَزَقْنَـٰكُمْ

razaqnākum

We have provided you

وَٱشْكُرُوا۟

wa-ush'kurū

and be grateful

لِلَّهِ

lillahi

to Allah

إِن

in

if

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you

إِيَّاهُ

iyyāhu

alone

تَعْبُدُونَ

taʿbudūna

worship Him

إِنَّمَا

innamā

Only

حَرَّمَ

ḥarrama

He has forbidden

عَلَيْكُمُ

ʿalaykumu

to you

ٱلْمَيْتَةَ

l-maytata

the dead animals

وَٱلدَّمَ

wal-dama

and [the] blood

وَلَحْمَ

walaḥma

and flesh

ٱلْخِنزِيرِ

l-khinzīri

(of) swine

وَمَآ

wamā

and what

أُهِلَّ

uhilla

has been dedicated

بِهِۦ

bihi

[with it]

لِغَيْرِ

lighayri

to other than

ٱللَّهِ ۖ

l-lahi

Allah

فَمَنِ

famani

So whoever

ٱضْطُرَّ

uḍ'ṭurra

(is) forced by necessity

غَيْرَ

ghayra

without

بَاغٍۢ

bāghin

(being) disobedient

وَلَا

walā

and not

عَادٍۢ

ʿādin

transgressor

فَلَآ

falā

then no

إِثْمَ

ith'ma

sin

عَلَيْهِ ۚ

ʿalayhi

on him

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

غَفُورٌۭ

ghafūrun

(is) Oft-Forgiving

رَّحِيمٌ

raḥīmun

Most Merciful

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

يَكْتُمُونَ

yaktumūna

conceal

مَآ

mā

what

أَنزَلَ

anzala

(has) revealed

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah (has)

مِنَ

mina

of

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

l-kitābi

the Book

وَيَشْتَرُونَ

wayashtarūna

and they purchase

بِهِۦ

bihi

there with

ثَمَنًۭا

thamanan

a gain

قَلِيلًا ۙ

qalīlan

little

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

ulāika

Those

مَا

mā

not

يَأْكُلُونَ

yakulūna

they eat

فِى

fī

in

بُطُونِهِمْ

buṭūnihim

their bellies

إِلَّا

illā

except

ٱلنَّارَ

l-nāra

the Fire

وَلَا

walā

And not

يُكَلِّمُهُمُ

yukallimuhumu

will speak to them

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

يَوْمَ

yawma

(on the) Day

ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ

l-qiyāmati

(of) [the] Judgment

وَلَا

walā

and not

يُزَكِّيهِمْ

yuzakkīhim

will He purify them

وَلَهُمْ

walahum

and for them

عَذَابٌ

ʿadhābun

(is) a punishment

أَلِيمٌ

alīmun

painful

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

ulāika

Those

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

(are) they who

ٱشْتَرَوُا۟

ish'tarawū

purchase[d]

ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةَ

l-ḍalālata

[the] astraying

بِٱلْهُدَىٰ

bil-hudā

for [the] Guidance

وَٱلْعَذَابَ

wal-ʿadhāba

and [the] punishment

بِٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ ۚ

bil-maghfirati

for [the] forgiveness

فَمَآ

famā

So what (is)

أَصْبَرَهُمْ

aṣbarahum

their endurance

عَلَى

ʿalā

on

ٱلنَّارِ

l-nāri

the Fire
