ثُمَّ

thumma

Then

إِنَّكُمْ

innakum

indeed you

أَيُّهَا

ayyuhā

O those astray

ٱلضَّآلُّونَ

l-ḍālūna

O those astray

ٱلْمُكَذِّبُونَ

l-mukadhibūna

the deniers

لَـَٔاكِلُونَ

laākilūna

Will surely eat

مِن

min

from

شَجَرٍۢ

shajarin

(the) tree

مِّن

min

of

زَقُّومٍۢ

zaqqūmin

Zaqqum

فَمَالِـُٔونَ

famāliūna

Then will fill

مِنْهَا

min'hā

with it

ٱلْبُطُونَ

l-buṭūna

the bellies

فَشَـٰرِبُونَ

fashāribūna

And drink

عَلَيْهِ

ʿalayhi

over it

مِنَ

mina

[from]

ٱلْحَمِيمِ

l-ḥamīmi

the scalding water

فَشَـٰرِبُونَ

fashāribūna

And will drink

شُرْبَ

shur'ba

(as) drinking

ٱلْهِيمِ

l-hīmi

(of) the thirsty camels

هَـٰذَا

hādhā

This

نُزُلُهُمْ

nuzuluhum

(is) their hospitality

يَوْمَ

yawma

(on the) Day

ٱلدِّينِ

l-dīni

(of) Judgment

نَحْنُ

naḥnu

We

خَلَقْنَـٰكُمْ

khalaqnākum

[We] created you

فَلَوْلَا

falawlā

so why (do) not

تُصَدِّقُونَ

tuṣaddiqūna

you admit the truth

أَفَرَءَيْتُم

afara-aytum

Do you see

مَّا

mā

what

تُمْنُونَ

tum'nūna

you emit

ءَأَنتُمْ

a-antum

Is it you

تَخْلُقُونَهُۥٓ

takhluqūnahu

who create it

أَمْ

am

or

نَحْنُ

naḥnu

(are) We

ٱلْخَـٰلِقُونَ

l-khāliqūna

the Creators

نَحْنُ

naḥnu

We

قَدَّرْنَا

qaddarnā

[We] have decreed

بَيْنَكُمُ

baynakumu

among you

ٱلْمَوْتَ

l-mawta

the death

وَمَا

wamā

and not

نَحْنُ

naḥnu

We

بِمَسْبُوقِينَ

bimasbūqīna

(are) outrun

عَلَىٰٓ

ʿalā

In

أَن

an

that

نُّبَدِّلَ

nubaddila

We (will) change

أَمْثَـٰلَكُمْ

amthālakum

your likeness[es]

وَنُنشِئَكُمْ

wanunshi-akum

and produce you

فِى

fī

in

مَا

mā

what

لَا

lā

not

تَعْلَمُونَ

taʿlamūna

you know

وَلَقَدْ

walaqad

And certainly

عَلِمْتُمُ

ʿalim'tumu

you know

ٱلنَّشْأَةَ

l-nashata

the creation

ٱلْأُولَىٰ

l-ūlā

the first

فَلَوْلَا

falawlā

so why not

تَذَكَّرُونَ

tadhakkarūna

you take heed

أَفَرَءَيْتُم

afara-aytum

And do you see

مَّا

mā

what

تَحْرُثُونَ

taḥruthūna

you sow

ءَأَنتُمْ

a-antum

Is it you (who)

تَزْرَعُونَهُۥٓ

tazraʿūnahu

cause it to grow

أَمْ

am

or

نَحْنُ

naḥnu

(are) We

ٱلزَّٰرِعُونَ

l-zāriʿūna

the Ones Who grow

لَوْ

law

If

نَشَآءُ

nashāu

We willed

لَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ

lajaʿalnāhu

We (would) surely, make it

حُطَـٰمًۭا

ḥuṭāman

debris

فَظَلْتُمْ

faẓaltum

then you would remain

تَفَكَّهُونَ

tafakkahūna

wondering

إِنَّا

innā

Indeed, we

لَمُغْرَمُونَ

lamugh'ramūna

surely are laden with debt

بَلْ

bal

Nay

نَحْنُ

naḥnu

we

مَحْرُومُونَ

maḥrūmūna

(are) deprived

أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ

afara-aytumu

Do you see

ٱلْمَآءَ

l-māa

the water

ٱلَّذِى

alladhī

which

تَشْرَبُونَ

tashrabūna

you drink

ءَأَنتُمْ

a-antum

Is it you

أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ

anzaltumūhu

who send it down

مِنَ

mina

from

ٱلْمُزْنِ

l-muz'ni

the rain clouds

أَمْ

am

or

نَحْنُ

naḥnu

We

ٱلْمُنزِلُونَ

l-munzilūna

(are) the Ones to send

لَوْ

law

If

نَشَآءُ

nashāu

We willed

جَعَلْنَـٰهُ

jaʿalnāhu

We (could) make it

أُجَاجًۭا

ujājan

salty

فَلَوْلَا

falawlā

then why are you not grateful

تَشْكُرُونَ

tashkurūna

then why are you not grateful

أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ

afara-aytumu

Do you see

ٱلنَّارَ

l-nāra

the Fire

ٱلَّتِى

allatī

which

تُورُونَ

tūrūna

you ignite

ءَأَنتُمْ

a-antum

Is it you

أَنشَأْتُمْ

anshatum

who produced

شَجَرَتَهَآ

shajaratahā

its tree

أَمْ

am

or

نَحْنُ

naḥnu

We

ٱلْمُنشِـُٔونَ

l-munshiūna

(are) the Producers

نَحْنُ

naḥnu

We

جَعَلْنَـٰهَا

jaʿalnāhā

have made it

تَذْكِرَةًۭ

tadhkiratan

a reminder

وَمَتَـٰعًۭا

wamatāʿan

and a provision

لِّلْمُقْوِينَ

lil'muq'wīna

for the wayfarers in the desert

فَسَبِّحْ

fasabbiḥ

So glorify

بِٱسْمِ

bi-is'mi

(the) name

رَبِّكَ

rabbika

(of) your Lord

ٱلْعَظِيمِ

l-ʿaẓīmi

the Most Great

۞ فَلَآ

falā

But nay

أُقْسِمُ

uq'simu

I swear

بِمَوَٰقِعِ

bimawāqiʿi

by setting

ٱلنُّجُومِ

l-nujūmi

(of) the stars
