آل عمران

بَلَىٰ

balā

Nay

مَنْ

man

whoever

أَوْفَىٰ

awfā

fulfills

بِعَهْدِهِۦ

biʿahdihi

his covenant

وَٱتَّقَىٰ

wa-ittaqā

and fears (Allah)

فَإِنَّ

fa-inna

then indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

يُحِبُّ

yuḥibbu

loves

ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

l-mutaqīna

those who fear (Him)

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

يَشْتَرُونَ

yashtarūna

exchange

بِعَهْدِ

biʿahdi

(the) Covenant

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

وَأَيْمَـٰنِهِمْ

wa-aymānihim

and their oaths

ثَمَنًۭا

thamanan

(for) a price

قَلِيلًا

qalīlan

little

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

ulāika

those

لَا

lā

no

خَلَـٰقَ

khalāqa

share

لَهُمْ

lahum

for them

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

l-ākhirati

the Hereafter

وَلَا

walā

and not

يُكَلِّمُهُمُ

yukallimuhumu

will speak to them

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

وَلَا

walā

and not

يَنظُرُ

yanẓuru

look

إِلَيْهِمْ

ilayhim

at them

يَوْمَ

yawma

(on the) Day

ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ

l-qiyāmati

(of) the Resurrection

وَلَا

walā

and not

يُزَكِّيهِمْ

yuzakkīhim

purify them

وَلَهُمْ

walahum

and for them

عَذَابٌ

ʿadhābun

(is) a punishment

أَلِيمٌۭ

alīmun

painful

وَإِنَّ

wa-inna

And indeed

مِنْهُمْ

min'hum

among them

لَفَرِيقًۭا

lafarīqan

surely (is) a group

يَلْوُۥنَ

yalwūna

they distort

أَلْسِنَتَهُم

alsinatahum

their tongues

بِٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

bil-kitābi

in (reciting) the Book

لِتَحْسَبُوهُ

litaḥsabūhu

so that you may think it

مِنَ

mina

(is) from

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

l-kitābi

the Book

وَمَا

wamā

and not

هُوَ

huwa

it

مِنَ

mina

(is) from

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

l-kitābi

the Book

وَيَقُولُونَ

wayaqūlūna

And they say

هُوَ

huwa

It

مِنْ

min

(is)

عِندِ

ʿindi

from

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

وَمَا

wamā

But not

هُوَ

huwa

it

مِنْ

min

(is)

عِندِ

ʿindi

from

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

وَيَقُولُونَ

wayaqūlūna

And they say

عَلَى

ʿalā

about

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

ٱلْكَذِبَ

l-kadhiba

the lie

وَهُمْ

wahum

while they

يَعْلَمُونَ

yaʿlamūna

know

مَا

mā

Not

كَانَ

kāna

is

لِبَشَرٍ

libasharin

for a human

أَن

an

that

يُؤْتِيَهُ

yu'tiyahu

gives him

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ

l-kitāba

the Book

وَٱلْحُكْمَ

wal-ḥuk'ma

and the wisdom

وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ

wal-nubuwata

and the Prophethood

ثُمَّ

thumma

then

يَقُولَ

yaqūla

he says

لِلنَّاسِ

lilnnāsi

to the people

كُونُوا۟

kūnū

Be

عِبَادًۭا

ʿibādan

worshippers

لِّى

lī

of me

مِن

min

from

دُونِ

dūni

besides

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

وَلَـٰكِن

walākin

but (would say)

كُونُوا۟

kūnū

Be

رَبَّـٰنِيِّـۧنَ

rabbāniyyīna

worshippers of the Lord

بِمَا

bimā

because

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you have been

تُعَلِّمُونَ

tuʿallimūna

teaching

ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ

l-kitāba

the Book

وَبِمَا

wabimā

and because

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you have been

تَدْرُسُونَ

tadrusūna

studying (it)

وَلَا

walā

And not

يَأْمُرَكُمْ

yamurakum

he will order you

أَن

an

that

تَتَّخِذُوا۟

tattakhidhū

you take

ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ

l-malāikata

the Angels

وَٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ

wal-nabiyīna

and the Prophets

أَرْبَابًا ۗ

arbāban

(as) lords

أَيَأْمُرُكُم

ayamurukum

Would he order you

بِٱلْكُفْرِ

bil-kuf'ri

to [the] disbelief

بَعْدَ

baʿda

after

إِذْ

idh

[when]

أَنتُم

antum

you (have become)

مُّسْلِمُونَ

mus'limūna

Muslims

وَإِذْ

wa-idh

And when

أَخَذَ

akhadha

took

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

مِيثَـٰقَ

mīthāqa

covenant

ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ

l-nabiyīna

(of) the Prophets

لَمَآ

lamā

Certainly, whatever

ءَاتَيْتُكُم

ātaytukum

I (have) given you

مِّن

min

of

كِتَـٰبٍۢ

kitābin

(the) Book

وَحِكْمَةٍۢ

waḥik'matin

and wisdom

ثُمَّ

thumma

then

جَآءَكُمْ

jāakum

comes to you

رَسُولٌۭ

rasūlun

a Messenger

مُّصَدِّقٌۭ

muṣaddiqun

confirming

لِّمَا

limā

that which

مَعَكُمْ

maʿakum

(is) with you

لَتُؤْمِنُنَّ

latu'minunna

you must believe

بِهِۦ

bihi

in him

وَلَتَنصُرُنَّهُۥ ۚ

walatanṣurunnahu

and you must help him

قَالَ

qāla

He said

ءَأَقْرَرْتُمْ

a-aqrartum

Do you affirm

وَأَخَذْتُمْ

wa-akhadhtum

and take

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

on

ذَٰلِكُمْ

dhālikum

that (condition)

إِصْرِى ۖ

iṣ'rī

My Covenant

قَالُوٓا۟

qālū

They said

أَقْرَرْنَا ۚ

aqrarnā

We affirm

قَالَ

qāla

He said

فَٱشْهَدُوا۟

fa-ish'hadū

Then bear witness

وَأَنَا۠

wa-anā

and I (am)

مَعَكُم

maʿakum

with you

مِّنَ

mina

among

ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ

l-shāhidīna

the witnesses

فَمَن

faman

Then whoever

تَوَلَّىٰ

tawallā

turns away

بَعْدَ

baʿda

after

ذَٰلِكَ

dhālika

that

فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

fa-ulāika

then those

هُمُ

humu

they

ٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ

l-fāsiqūna

(are) the defiantly disobedient

أَفَغَيْرَ

afaghayra

So is (it) other than

دِينِ

dīni

(the) religion

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

يَبْغُونَ

yabghūna

they seek

وَلَهُۥٓ

walahu

While to Him

أَسْلَمَ

aslama

(have) submitted

مَن

man

whatever

فِى

fī

(is) in

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

l-samāwāti

the heavens

وَٱلْأَرْضِ

wal-arḍi

and the earth

طَوْعًۭا

ṭawʿan

willingly

وَكَرْهًۭا

wakarhan

or unwillingly

وَإِلَيْهِ

wa-ilayhi

and towards Him

يُرْجَعُونَ

yur'jaʿūna

they will be returned

قُلْ

qul

Say

ءَامَنَّا

āmannā

We believed

بِٱللَّهِ

bil-lahi

in Allah

وَمَآ

wamā

and what

أُنزِلَ

unzila

(is) revealed

عَلَيْنَا

ʿalaynā

on us

وَمَآ

wamā

and what

أُنزِلَ

unzila

was revealed

عَلَىٰٓ

ʿalā

on

إِبْرَٰهِيمَ

ib'rāhīma

Ibrahim

وَإِسْمَـٰعِيلَ

wa-is'māʿīla

and Ishmael

وَإِسْحَـٰقَ

wa-is'ḥāqa

and Isaac

وَيَعْقُوبَ

wayaʿqūba

and Yaqub

وَٱلْأَسْبَاطِ

wal-asbāṭi

and the descendents

وَمَآ

wamā

and what

أُوتِىَ

ūtiya

was given

مُوسَىٰ

mūsā

(to) Musa

وَعِيسَىٰ

waʿīsā

and Isa

وَٱلنَّبِيُّونَ

wal-nabiyūna

and the Prophets

مِن

min

from

رَّبِّهِمْ

rabbihim

their Lord

لَا

lā

Not

نُفَرِّقُ

nufarriqu

we make distinction

بَيْنَ

bayna

between

أَحَدٍۢ

aḥadin

any

مِّنْهُمْ

min'hum

of them

وَنَحْنُ

wanaḥnu

and we

لَهُۥ

lahu

to Him

مُسْلِمُونَ

mus'limūna

(are) submissive

وَمَن

waman

And whoever

يَبْتَغِ

yabtaghi

seeks

غَيْرَ

ghayra

other than

ٱلْإِسْلَـٰمِ

l-is'lāmi

[the] Islam

دِينًۭا

dīnan

(as) religion

فَلَن

falan

then never

يُقْبَلَ

yuq'bala

will be accepted

مِنْهُ

min'hu

from him

وَهُوَ

wahuwa

and he

فِى

fī

in

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

l-ākhirati

the Hereafter

مِنَ

mina

(will be) from

ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ

l-khāsirīna

the losers

كَيْفَ

kayfa

How

يَهْدِى

yahdī

(shall) guide

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

قَوْمًۭا

qawman

a people

كَفَرُوا۟

kafarū

(who) disbelieved

بَعْدَ

baʿda

after

إِيمَـٰنِهِمْ

īmānihim

their belief

وَشَهِدُوٓا۟

washahidū

and (had) witnessed

أَنَّ

anna

that

ٱلرَّسُولَ

l-rasūla

the Messenger

حَقٌّۭ

ḥaqqun

(is) true

وَجَآءَهُمُ

wajāahumu

and came to them

ٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتُ ۚ

l-bayinātu

the clear proofs

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

And Allah

لَا

lā

(does) not

يَهْدِى

yahdī

guide

ٱلْقَوْمَ

l-qawma

the people

ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

l-ẓālimīna

[the] wrongdoers

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

ulāika

Those

جَزَآؤُهُمْ

jazāuhum

their recompense

أَنَّ

anna

that

عَلَيْهِمْ

ʿalayhim

on them

لَعْنَةَ

laʿnata

(is the) curse

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ

wal-malāikati

and the Angels

وَٱلنَّاسِ

wal-nāsi

and the people

أَجْمَعِينَ

ajmaʿīna

all together

خَـٰلِدِينَ

khālidīna

(They will) abide forever

فِيهَا

fīhā

in it

لَا

lā

Not

يُخَفَّفُ

yukhaffafu

will be lightened

عَنْهُمُ

ʿanhumu

for them

ٱلْعَذَابُ

l-ʿadhābu

the punishment

وَلَا

walā

and not

هُمْ

hum

they

يُنظَرُونَ

yunẓarūna

will be reprieved

إِلَّا

illā

Except

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

تَابُوا۟

tābū

repent

مِنۢ

min

from

بَعْدِ

baʿdi

after

ذَٰلِكَ

dhālika

that

وَأَصْلَحُوا۟

wa-aṣlaḥū

and reform[ed] themselves

فَإِنَّ

fa-inna

Then indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

غَفُورٌۭ

ghafūrun

(is) Oft-Forgiving

رَّحِيمٌ

raḥīmun

Most Merciful

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

كَفَرُوا۟

kafarū

disbelieved

بَعْدَ

baʿda

after

إِيمَـٰنِهِمْ

īmānihim

their belief

ثُمَّ

thumma

then

ٱزْدَادُوا۟

iz'dādū

they increased

كُفْرًۭا

kuf'ran

(in) disbelief

لَّن

lan

never

تُقْبَلَ

tuq'bala

will be accepted

تَوْبَتُهُمْ

tawbatuhum

their repentance

وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

wa-ulāika

and those

هُمُ

humu

they

ٱلضَّآلُّونَ

l-ḍālūna

(are) those who have gone astray

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

كَفَرُوا۟

kafarū

disbelieve[d]

وَمَاتُوا۟

wamātū

and died

وَهُمْ

wahum

while they

كُفَّارٌۭ

kuffārun

(are) disbelievers

فَلَن

falan

then never

يُقْبَلَ

yuq'bala

will be accepted

مِنْ

min

from

أَحَدِهِم

aḥadihim

any one of them

مِّلْءُ

mil'u

full

ٱلْأَرْضِ

l-arḍi

earth

ذَهَبًۭا

dhahaban

(of) gold

وَلَوِ

walawi

[and] (even) if

ٱفْتَدَىٰ

if'tadā

he offered as ransom

بِهِۦٓ ۗ

bihi

it

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

ulāika

Those

لَهُمْ

lahum

for them

عَذَابٌ

ʿadhābun

(is) a punishment

أَلِيمٌۭ

alīmun

painful

وَمَا

wamā

and not

لَهُم

lahum

(will be) for them

مِّن

min

any

نَّـٰصِرِينَ

nāṣirīna

helpers

لَن

lan

Never

تَنَالُوا۟

tanālū

will you attain

ٱلْبِرَّ

l-bira

[the] righteousness

حَتَّىٰ

ḥattā

until

تُنفِقُوا۟

tunfiqū

you spend

مِمَّا

mimmā

from what

تُحِبُّونَ ۚ

tuḥibbūna

you love

وَمَا

wamā

And whatever

تُنفِقُوا۟

tunfiqū

you spend

مِن

min

of

شَىْءٍۢ

shayin

a thing

فَإِنَّ

fa-inna

then indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

بِهِۦ

bihi

of it

عَلِيمٌۭ

ʿalīmun

(is) All-Knowing

۞ كُلُّ

kullu

All

ٱلطَّعَامِ

l-ṭaʿāmi

[the] food

كَانَ

kāna

was

حِلًّۭا

ḥillan

lawful

لِّبَنِىٓ

libanī

for (the) Children

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

is'rāīla

(of) Israel

إِلَّا

illā

except

مَا

mā

what

حَرَّمَ

ḥarrama

made unlawful

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلُ

is'rāīlu

Israel

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

upon

نَفْسِهِۦ

nafsihi

himself

مِن

min

from

قَبْلِ

qabli

before

أَن

an

[that]

تُنَزَّلَ

tunazzala

(was) revealed

ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ ۗ

l-tawrātu

the Taurat

قُلْ

qul

Say

فَأْتُوا۟

fatū

So bring

بِٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ

bil-tawrāti

the Taurat

فَٱتْلُوهَآ

fa-it'lūhā

and recite it

إِن

in

if

كُنتُمْ

kuntum

you are

صَـٰدِقِينَ

ṣādiqīna

truthful

فَمَنِ

famani

Then whoever

ٱفْتَرَىٰ

if'tarā

fabricates

عَلَى

ʿalā

about

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

Allah

ٱلْكَذِبَ

l-kadhiba

[the] lie

مِنۢ

min

from

بَعْدِ

baʿdi

after

ذَٰلِكَ

dhālika

that

فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

fa-ulāika

then those

هُمُ

humu

they

ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ

l-ẓālimūna

(are) the wrongdoers

قُلْ

qul

Say

صَدَقَ

ṣadaqa

(has) spoken the truth

ٱللَّهُ ۗ

l-lahu

Allah

فَٱتَّبِعُوا۟

fa-ittabiʿū

then follow

مِلَّةَ

millata

(the) religion

إِبْرَٰهِيمَ

ib'rāhīma

(of) Ibrahim

حَنِيفًۭا

ḥanīfan

(the) upright

وَمَا

wamā

and not

كَانَ

kāna

he was

مِنَ

mina

of

ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

l-mush'rikīna

the polytheists

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

أَوَّلَ

awwala

(the) First

بَيْتٍۢ

baytin

House

وُضِعَ

wuḍiʿa

set up

لِلنَّاسِ

lilnnāsi

for the mankind

لَلَّذِى

lalladhī

(is) the one which

بِبَكَّةَ

bibakkata

(is) at Bakkah

مُبَارَكًۭا

mubārakan

blessed

وَهُدًۭى

wahudan

and a guidance

لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

lil'ʿālamīna

for the worlds

فِيهِ

fīhi

In it

ءَايَـٰتٌۢ

āyātun

(are) signs

بَيِّنَـٰتٌۭ

bayyinātun

clear

مَّقَامُ

maqāmu

standing place

إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ۖ

ib'rāhīma

(of) Ibrahim

وَمَن

waman

and whoever

دَخَلَهُۥ

dakhalahu

enters it

كَانَ

kāna

is

ءَامِنًۭا ۗ

āminan

safe

وَلِلَّهِ

walillahi

And (due) to Allah

عَلَى

ʿalā

upon

ٱلنَّاسِ

l-nāsi

the mankind

حِجُّ

ḥijju

(is) pilgrimage

ٱلْبَيْتِ

l-bayti

(of) the House

مَنِ

mani

(for one) who

ٱسْتَطَاعَ

is'taṭāʿa

is able

إِلَيْهِ

ilayhi

to [it]

سَبِيلًۭا ۚ

sabīlan

(find) a way

وَمَن

waman

And whoever

كَفَرَ

kafara

disbelieved

فَإِنَّ

fa-inna

then indeed

ٱللَّهَ

l-laha

Allah

غَنِىٌّ

ghaniyyun

(is) free from need

عَنِ

ʿani

of

ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

l-ʿālamīna

the universe

قُلْ

qul

Say

يَـٰٓأَهْلَ

yāahla

O People

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

l-kitābi

(of) the Book

لِمَ

lima

Why

تَكْفُرُونَ

takfurūna

(do) you disbelieve

بِـَٔايَـٰتِ

biāyāti

in (the) Verses

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

وَٱللَّهُ

wal-lahu

while Allah

شَهِيدٌ

shahīdun

(is) a Witness

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

over

مَا

mā

what

تَعْمَلُونَ

taʿmalūna

you do

قُلْ

qul

Say

يَـٰٓأَهْلَ

yāahla

O People

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

l-kitābi

(of) the Book

لِمَ

lima

Why

تَصُدُّونَ

taṣuddūna

(do) you hinder

عَن

ʿan

from

سَبِيلِ

sabīli

(the) way

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

(of) Allah

مَنْ

man

(those) who

ءَامَنَ

āmana

believe[d]

تَبْغُونَهَا

tabghūnahā

seeking (to make) it

عِوَجًۭا

ʿiwajan

(seem) crooked

وَأَنتُمْ

wa-antum

while you

شُهَدَآءُ ۗ

shuhadāu

(are) witnesses

وَمَا

wamā

And not

ٱللَّهُ

l-lahu

Allah

بِغَـٰفِلٍ

bighāfilin

(is) unaware

عَمَّا

ʿammā

of what

تَعْمَلُونَ

taʿmalūna

you do

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

yāayyuhā

O you

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

who

ءَامَنُوٓا۟

āmanū

believe[d]

إِن

in

If

تُطِيعُوا۟

tuṭīʿū

you obey

فَرِيقًۭا

farīqan

a group

مِّنَ

mina

from

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhīna

those who

أُوتُوا۟

ūtū

were given

ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ

l-kitāba

the Book

يَرُدُّوكُم

yaruddūkum

they will turn you back

بَعْدَ

baʿda

after

إِيمَـٰنِكُمْ

īmānikum

your belief

كَـٰفِرِينَ

kāfirīna

(as) disbelievers
